What to bake for Christmas this year

Christmas by far is my favourite time of the year to bake.. I mean, I love it all year round. But there’s just something about Christmas that makes baking that bit more exciting. I think it’s the flavours and the colours and the over the top decorations that go down an absolute treat, I just love it!

So for the foreseable future, you’ll find me, in my kitchen with my cute hair net on, mixing up the best sweet treats ever! I love giving treat boxes to family for gifts during the festive period.. they always go mad for them! So there’s an idea, if you’re struggling on what to buy your loved ones this year, fill a box with all your favourites bakes, put on a cute little bow, add a label and there you have it.. the perfect Christmas gift!

Every year, me and my family love to stand around the kitchen, making all the things we love the most to enjoy on our Christmas eve buffet and for our sweets on Christmas day. There’s just something so satisfying about eating your own bakes. They’re made exactly how you like them.. and the best part about it.. you can eat as much as you want!

So if you’re wanting to have a go at making your own sweet treats this Christmas, here’s a list of all my baking favourites that could be yours too;

  • Christmas cake (fruit cake)
  • Chocolate fudge cake
  • Brownies/Blondies
  • Cupcakes – Fondant/buttercream
