My favourite things to bake

I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned this before but I’m a keen baker. I love all things to do with baking.. absolutely everything! It definitely is a passion of mine.. and one that one day I can hopefully turn into a business..

Over the past few months I have been practicing who knows how many different recipes, trying out new skills and learning as much as I possibly can about baking. I’ve always loved baking, ever since I was little, I remember standing at the side of my mum on a stool so I could see what she was doing.. just waiting there, patiently to cover the buns in chocolate. So ever since, it has been something me and my mum love to do whenever we can.

During lockdown it’s been one of the things that has kept us going.. a focus if you like. Something to get my teeth into (literally), especially since work and social life had been put on hold. We have definitely spent many days up to our eye balls in cupcakes and brownies (there are worse places to be haha). But it is one of those things I will remember forever and a memory I will always cherish.

But even though I love all things to do with baking (especially the eating part), I do have my favourite things I just love to bake..

Chocolate chip cookies

Chocolate brownies

Drip cake

Vanilla sponge cake

Obviously there are many more things I could list but these are the few I cannot get enough of. But for now, I’m going to carry on practicing and trying out as many new recipes as possible, until my family can no longer bare to sample any more sweet treats.
