Monthly favourites – February

Wait a minute.. Where did February go? I feel like I blinked and the whole month has passed. January takes forever, but February is over in what feels like days..

Anyway, I’m back again for the second month of the year with my favourites. There’s a bit of everything in this one. I love going back over the month, to remember things that have made me happy or things I’ve accomplished.

Green tea
I rediscovered my love for green tea. Bit of a random one I know but I forgot how much I liked it. I used to drink it every single day a couple of years ago and then I’m pretty sure I sickened myself with it and didn’t drink it much after that. So recently I bought some more and I’ve been having one cup a day. The health benefits for this tea alone are amazing, so another excuse to drink it.

Nike air force trainers.. They’re not new trainers at all, but they are a simple classic trainer that you can wear with almost anything. I haven’t had the chance to wear them yet, simply because I live in England and apparently it wants to be all four seasons in one day.. and I’m not risking ruining my perfect white trainers.

I’ve been absolutely obsessed with fashion blogs/influencers recently. I’ve always loved fashion but just this month I have really started to put more effort into it. So what better than to scroll through Instagram for some inspo. I love layering clothes, so this weather is giving me the perfect excuse.

This is a program that has been out for a while now, but I just never got round to watching it. I’ll admit I binge watched it within a few days and it didn’t disappoint. It’s a hard watch but completely worth it if it’s something you’d like to know more of.

I listen to music for the most part of my day, I just feel like everything is better when you’re listening to music. So I was searching through Spotify to find some new music to add my to my playlist and came across an album by Frank Ocean. It’s an old album I’d never heard of from 2016 called Blonde. I’ve never heard of any of the songs on that album, so technically it’s new music for me.

Ever since I was little, me and my mum have baked together.. whenever we had the time. But recently we’ve started baking again, cupcakes, cakes that sort of thing. It’s always been my mum’s dream to own a Cake shop, so we made the decision that we would practice whenever we have the chance. I love spending this quality time with my mum doing something we both enjoy.

As I just mentioned, my mum has always dreamed of being a Cake shop/Cafe owner.. so learning as much as possible is essential. We’ve both started 2 classes, one online and another at a local center, where we can learn lots of new things about baking. It’s been really fun to do and although it hasn’t been that long, I feel like I’ve learnt a lot in such a short amount of time.

February has been a very happy month for me, by this I mean my happy days have been out weighed by my not so happy days. It’s been a good month, lots of things have started and will hopefully lead to greater achievements. Lots of memories have been made and plenty of self improvement has been done this month.

More active
I mentioned in my January favourites that I was managing to stick to a regular gym routine. I have this month too, and the benefits are starting to pay off. Not so much on my appearance but my fitness has definitely improved. Going to the gym and doing exercises at home has helped with my confidence too, feeling better physically helps with feeling better mentally.

Every day I have certain things I want to do, goals, accomplishments etc. Then I have my monthly goals, this month has been an amazing one in terms of completing my goals. I’ve managed to get quite a lot done in this short month and I’m feeling pretty pleased with myself!

It wouldn’t be a post of mine if I didn’t at some point mention a book would it? Anyway, I’ve started reading a new book; James Patterson – Murder House. I’ve only read a couple of chapters but so far it’s an amazing book. No doubt I’ll be doing a review on it once I’ve completed it. I find so much happiness from just sitting down and getting lost in a good book, so finding one that grips me from the beginning is pretty much a priority.

Re – Read
Vex king – good vibes good life. I’ve done a blog post on this book, which I’ll link below. But this book is one of those; no matter how many times I’ve read it, whenever I feel like I need some guidance I go straight for this one. It’s a simple easy read, with lots of helpful tips and short chapters which you can skip straight to.
