So as we all know, Valentines day is only a few days away. Instead of the traditional Red lip, why not try a nude?
Whenever I do my makeup, I usually go for a nude lip.. just because this is what I feel most comfortable in. That’s what it is all about right? I only use three products to create this look. Super simple but extremely cute!
All of these products can be used with different lip combinations. Try the gloss over a red lip if you fancy switching it up! They are a little on the pricey side, but completely worth the money. I wear this combo pretty much all the time, not too much for a day time but glam enough for a night out.
Mac Lip Pencil – Stripdown:
This was one of the first expensive makeup products I bought. A staple lip pencil is essential for your makeup collection, something you can put with any lip colour. This is a medium tone, brown shade. But depending on how much you apply, can be used with pretty much any lip colour (I use it with everything). Like I mentioned, it is a little more expensive than some but at £14, lasts such a long time! I buy mine from the Mac cosmetics shop online, but it can also be purchased in store and also Debenhams, Selfridges, John Lewis and Asos now stock it.
Mac Lipstick – Pure Zen:
This is honestly my favourite lipstick of all time! I try out so many new nude lipsticks but always come back to this. Once I find a look that works for me, I find myself wearing it most days.. something I feel confident in. This is a warm nude with a cremesheen finish. A good moveable lipstick that feels comfortable on the lips. It is currently priced at £17.50, which for a product this good is worth the money. So if you fancy treating yourself to a new lippy, then I recommend giving this one a try. You can buy it from the Mac cosmetics website or in store, Debenhams, Selfridges, John Lewis and Asos.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip gloss – Estella:
I needed a new gloss to put on top of my lipstick, something a little different to what I usually go for. So I tried this one.. the best gloss I now own! I used to go for a simple nude gloss just to add a shine to my lip look, this one does just that but with a little extra. Because of the clusters of gold and blue reflective sparkles that run through it, it makes your lips stand out! Enough for any occasion. I do own a few more Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip glosses but this one is by far my favourite. The quality is amazing and lasts such a long time. It costs £17.00 but is another must buy, I purchase mine from Beauty Bay but it is also sold at Feel Unique, Selfridges and Cult Beauty.
