So we’re a month into a brand new year, full of new beauty products to discover. But for this post I wanted to talk about my favourite beauty products of all time, not just the past year. The ones I cannot live without… well can’t do my makeup without.
First off, the Mac Pro Longwear Concealer. My shade is NC15, I’ve used this product for around 3 years. It was one of the first high end makeup products I ever tried, and I’ve used it almost everyday since. I’ve lost count the amount I have bought. It’s not talked about as much as it was when it was first released but none the less a staple in anyone’s makeup collection. An all round good product for any skin type, I’m combination to oily but sometimes dry during the winter months, but either way it always looks perfect. A slightly more expensive product at £18.50 but completely worth the money. You can buy it in Debenhams, House of Fraser and on the Mac official website.
Speaking of concealers, my next product is the Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Full Coverage Concealer. This is a fraction of the price of the Mac Pro Longwear Concealer, but just as good. So if you are wanting a cheaper alternative, this is the one for you. Because of the popularity of this product it can sometimes be hard to get your hands on (you might have to order online or search a few different shops). I get mine from Superdrug, Beauty Bay or The revolution website. This concealer is £4 each.
No Colour Powder by RCMA is one of my all time favourite products, this powder is everything I wanted in a setting powder, perfect for my skin and setting my makeup so it doesn’t budge all day (which is what we all want isn’t it?). It does exactly what it says on the packaging, so you can use as much as you desire without the fear of your makeup looking cakey. It has no flash back so don’t be afraid to take those selfies! This powder is £13.00.. which is on the cheaper side compared to some setting powders. I get mine from Beauty Bay.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Pro Series Contour Kit is a palette I always go back to. Every time I try to use another contour palette I always find myself going back to this.. I use the shade light/medium. This palette is £42.. but don’t worry, you won’t need to keep repurchasing this palette. It lasts a long time and I use mine almost every day. You can now buy refills, so if you use one colour more than the others, you won’t need to replace the whole thing, just the one you use the most. I bought mine from a trip to New York but it is sold on Beauty Bay, Cult beauty and in Selfridges.
The Balm Cosmetics Mary Lou Manizer, I have recommended this product to all my friends, I just cannot do my makeup without it. It is £16.00 and you can purchase it from Debenhams, Superdrug and Beauty Bay. This is the perfect shade for me, it gives you a natural glow.. just what you need on a daily basis. Also perfect for a night out, just apply more (you can never have too much highlighter).
A palette everyone should own! Anastasia Beverly hills Modern Renaissance Eye Shadow Palette. This is perfect all round, a mix of cool and warm tones with a couple of shimmers to add to your makeup look. It is a staple in any ones makeup bag. A little on the expensive side at £43 compared to some eye shadow palettes on the market now, but worth every penny! You can buy it at Cult Beauty, Beauty Bay, Selfridges and Feel Unique.
So there it is, my favourite beauty products of all time!
